The Point Of It

The leaflet is the first thing they ever hold.

One off jobs usually get made by whoever is free that afternoon, in whatever tool is open. Then it gets handed to a customer, or hung in a window, or stood next to a stand at a show.

It is worth doing properly. A leaflet is small money. Looking like an amateur in front of the people you were trying to impress is not.

What We Design

If it gets printed, hung or handed over.

Anything that carries your name and is not a website. Take one piece or hand over the whole list.

01

Print and literature

The pieces a customer takes away with them, or finds through the door.

  • Leaflets and flyers
  • Brochures and lookbooks
  • Price lists and service guides
  • Letterheads and compliment slips
02

Large format

The things people read from across a room, or from a passing car.

  • Roll up and pull up banners
  • Outdoor and mesh banners
  • Posters and window vinyls
  • Correx and site boards
03

Event and exhibition

Everything a stand needs, produced to the venue's own template.

  • Stand graphics and backdrops
  • Table covers and name badges
  • Handouts and order forms
  • Matching social graphics for the day
04

Signage and wayfinding

Permanent pieces, set up so the sign maker gets it right first time.

  • Fascia and shopfront signs
  • Interior and reception signage
  • Door, window and opening hours
  • Vehicle livery and van graphics
05

Menus and hospitality

The pieces that change often, built so changing them stays easy.

  • Food, drink and wine menus
  • Specials boards and table talkers
  • Loyalty and gift cards
  • Editable templates for your team
06

Packaging and labels

The bit the customer actually unwraps, set up to the printer's die line.

  • Boxes, sleeves and cartons
  • Product labels and stickers
  • Bags, tissue and tape
  • Inserts and thank you cards

Set up so the printer never has to ring.

Most design that comes back from a printer looking wrong was set up wrong, not printed wrong. Pick a format below and see how the artwork is built.

Bleed is the bit that gets trimmed off. Without it you get a white line down the edge, and it is always noticed.

How It Works

Brief on Monday, at the printer by Friday.

One off work should not need a six week process. Most single pieces run like this.

01

Brief

What it is for, who reads it, what it must say, and the date it has to be finished by. Usually a short call.

02

First draft

A designed piece to react to, not a mood board. Normally within a few working days of the brief.

03

Two rounds of changes

Your amends, gathered in one go rather than in a drip, then a final version to sign off.

04

Artwork and print

Print ready files with correct bleed and colour, sent to your printer or handled by us end to end.

Why Us

Designed to be produced, not just admired.

Plenty of design looks fine on a screen and then falls apart at the printer, on a van, or fifteen feet up a wall. We set artwork up for the thing it is actually becoming, at the size it will be read from.

If you already have a brand we work to it exactly. If you do not, we make choices that will still hold up later, and if you find yourself ordering one off pieces every month we will tell you when a proper brand and a set of templates would cost you less than the next six jobs.

What changes when we take it on

Right first time at the printer

Correct bleed, resolution and colour, supplied to the printer's own specification rather than a screen file with the edges cut off.

Legible at the real distance

A banner is read from across a hall and a leaflet from arm's length. Type is sized for the distance, not for how it looks zoomed in.

It still looks like you

Every piece works to the same colours, type and tone, so the leaflet, the sign and the social post all read as one business.

Editable where it needs to be

Menus and price lists supplied as templates your team can update, so a changed dish does not become a design job.
