Privacy policy.

This explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read rather than to be skipped.

Who we are

Blossom Marketing Management Ltd is a digital marketing agency working with clients across the UK and beyond. For the information you submit through this website, we are the data controller, which means we decide what is collected and what happens to it.

  • Company name Blossom Marketing Management Ltd
  • Company number 13222251, registered in England and Wales
  • Registered office Office One, 1 Coldbath Square, Farringdon, London, England, EC1R 5HL
  • Data protection contact info at blossommarketingmanagement.co.uk

If you want to ask anything about this policy, or make a request about your own information, use the email address above and put “data request” in the subject line so it reaches the right place quickly.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site. There is no tracking, no advertising pixel and no analytics on this website, so we do not build a profile of you or follow you around the internet.

  • Your name, so we know who we are replying to
  • Your email address, so we can reply
  • Your phone number, if you choose to give it
  • Your business name, if you choose to give it
  • Anything you write in the message, including what you tell us about your marketing
  • Your answers to the strategy call questions, such as what you need most and what you are already running
  • Your social media handle or website address, if you share them so we can review your accounts before a call

Everything beyond a name and an email address is optional. Leaving it blank makes no difference to whether we reply.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, and to prepare properly if you have asked for a strategy call. That is the whole purpose.

We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not send marketing you did not ask for, and we do not sell, rent or pass your details to anyone for their own use.

Our lawful basis

Under UK data protection law we have to have a lawful basis for handling your information. When you send an enquiry we rely on legitimate interests, specifically responding to somebody who has contacted us and asked for a reply. If we go on to work together, we then rely on performance of a contract.

If we ever want to use your details for something else, such as sending you a newsletter, we will ask for your consent first and you will be able to withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of services to run the site and reply to you. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

  • Netlify, which hosts this website, receives form submissions and passes them to us by email
  • Google Workspace, which is where your enquiry lands and is stored
  • Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site

We do not share your information with anyone else unless we are required to by law.

Both Netlify and Google are based in the United States, so information you send us is transferred outside the United Kingdom. Those transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the UK extension to the EU to US Data Privacy Framework, which are the safeguards UK law recognises for sending personal data to the United States.

How long we keep it

If you enquire and we do not end up working together, we keep your enquiry for up to twelve months in case you come back to us, then delete it.

If we do work together, we keep records for as long as we are working with you and then for six years afterwards, because tax and accounting rules require it.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Cookies and storage

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or analytics of any kind.

It does store one small item in your browser, which records that you have already been shown the strategy call popup so that it does not appear on every visit. It contains a date and nothing else, it never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Because we do not track anyone, there is no cookie banner on this site. If tracking or analytics are added later, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested before anything is set.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to do any of the following, free of charge.

  • See what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
  • Restrict what we do with it while a question is resolved
  • Object to us handling it on the basis of legitimate interests
  • Receive a copy in a portable format

Contact us using the details at the top of this policy and we will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to raise it with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change is significant, for example if we start using analytics, we will make that clear rather than quietly amending the wording.
